Presented for the first time in Boulder at First Congregational Church UCC, Backroads of the Americas is an intimate concert where music, storytelling, and masterful guitar playing come together.

Rooted in Spanish folk tradition and shaped by years of travel, his music unfolds like a living map, moving effortlessly between elegance and earthiness, from subtle Latin rhythms to reflective, cinematic melodies.

The performance reveals the full expressive range of the guitar—rhythmic, melodic, percussive, and deeply human—inviting listeners into a focused, immersive experience where music tells its story almost without words.

The program draws from The Brooklyn Session, Argentina Songbook, Carreteras Secundarias Vol. 1 & 2, selections from Panamerica, and original, unreleased material shaped by years of exploration.

Internationally known as Twanguero, Diego García is a Latin Grammy-winning guitarist praised by NPR as "one of the most fascinating guitarists I've ever heard." His distinctive style blends Spanish folk, Latin American rhythms, and American roots music into a sound that is entirely his own.

Parking & Accessibility: Getting here is easy, but downtown parking takes a little planning! We recommend arriving 10–15 minutes early so you can park and find your seat stress-free. Metered street parking is available around the block, or head to the 11th & Spruce Parking Garage (one block from the church), which offers a $3 evening rate on Thursday nights. Street parking becomes free after 7 PM.

The venue is fully accessible, with step-free access via the Pine Street ramp or elevator at the lower south entrance. Limited parking behind the church is reserved for guests with mobility needs. If you have any specific accessibility needs, please reach out to us in advance and we’ll be happy to assist.
